Cape Fear Blues Society
Producing, promoting, and presenting blues music throughout the Cape Fear region of North Carolina.
No event has greater appeal during the Cape Fear Blues Festival than the Cape Fear Blues
Cruise
on the Henrietta III riverboat.  This excursion is the largest inland cruise of its kind in
the Carolinas, combining multiple Blues acts, catered regional fare, and 3 decks of nautical
elegance and comfort aboard a modern cruising vessel.  Always a sold-out affair, this event
presents talented performers in a unique setting that reflects the rich history of the Blues,
and the stately riverfront of downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.
We enjoyed live music on the Cape Fear Blues Cruise for over two decades! It would take an
entire website to list the many local, regional, and national artists who graced the decks of
the Henrietta II & III riverboats on those lazy summer evenings along the Cape Fear River.
With the departure of the Henrietta III riverboat from the shores of the historic Wilmington
riverfront, we place the Cape Fear Blues Cruise on indefinite hiatus.

We wish to thank those who helped us make this event a success, year after year. They
include thousands of passengers, dozens of performing artists, many dedicated volunteers,
generous patrons & sponsors, print & broadcast news outlets, and a host of other entities.

Very special thanks to:
Captain Carl Marshburn, Helen Ward, and the staff of Cape Fear Riverboats, Inc.
Angie's Catering of Chris's Restaurant
Connie Nelson and the staff of Wilmington & Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau
Staff & Volunteers of the Cape Fear Blues Festival
