Delta Highway
Festival Concert / Sat. July 26 @ Noon. Beautiful Bobby Blackmon represents the heart
and soul of Florida blues. His exciting live show has been seen in nearly every corner of the
Sunshine State, from the House of Blues to the famous Bamboo Room, and he's shared billing
with everyone from Buddy Guy to Deborah Coleman. In addition to his relentless touring
schedule, he's been working as the house band at B.B. King's newest club in Orlando FL.
On stage, Bobby & The B3 Band are renowned for their showmanship, professionalism, and
their unique ability to light a fire under festival audiences all across the southeastern U.S.!
Don't miss this one! Visit his website, hear his music and watch his videos at Beautiful Bobby
Blackmon & The B3 Band
Delta Highway is THE next generation
of authentic blues, coming to us all the
way from Memphis TN. Their 'high
octane blues' keeps audiences riveted
and music critics raving over this very
talented four piece ensemble. To put it
simply, if you let their music grab hold,
it'll never let go. Their influences run
deep and wide, but their devotion to
the blues is uncompromising. The band
will visit us fresh from their festival tour
in Italy, so strap-in and take a trip down
Beale Street with Delta Highway! Visit
their website for music, reviews, and
much more.
Mel Melton &
The Wicked Mojos
Cape Fear Blues Cruise / Fri. July 25 @ 7:30 pm. The Cape Fear Blues Cruise has been
known for some rowdy blues parties on the Wilmington riverfront, but few acts can compare to
the dance hall atmosphere courtesy of Mel Melton & The Wicked Mojos. His last cruise gig
literally had the riverboat a rockin' and the entire audience on their feet, bouncin' to the blues
till we hit the dock! Buy your tickets early for this event 'cause it's a sure sellout show. Visit
Mel's website for some cool tunes and Papa Mojo's Roadhouse, where true, authentic Cajun
cookin' reigns supreme in central N.C.!
Also appearing on the Cape Fear Blues Cruise...
Spider Mike Bochey (on the dock)
The Dynamic Therm-O-Tones (2nd deck)
Charlie & Rose Lucas (atrium deck)
Cruise tickets are ON SALE NOW! Visit the Blues Store page for details.
One of Wilmington's favorite blues acts will host our post-Cruise
party at The Rusty Nail (1310 S. 5th St.) on Friday, July 25 at
9:00 pm. Tommy B. & The Stingers have played nearly 600
gigs in the last 12 years and remain one of the most in-demand
blues acts in our region. Fronted by a wailin' harp mistress and
a firebrand retro-guitarist, it's a nearly endless evening of hot,
traditional, rockin'-good blues from a band that knows how to
deliver! Visit their website at Tommy B. & The Stingers.
Ten Dollar Thrill will host our Post-Concert Party at
The Rusty Nail (1310 S. 5th St.) on Saturday, July 26
at 9:00 pm. Led by long-time Port City bluesman Jake
Horton, these guys will transport you back to the early
days of jump blues, overdriven tube amps, and late
nights gamblin' in the back room of the local juke joint.
Don't miss this show! Listen to Jake & the band at Ten
Dollar Thrill.
